The Holley Institute offers American Sign Language (ASL) classes!
American Sign Language classes are offered three times a year: spring, fall, and winter

American Sign Language is a beautiful language that anyone can learn. Maybe you want to learn a new language or refresh your skills. We can accommodate you with the classes that we offer which are for beginners and intermediate signers.

Spring 10-Week ASL Course Registration Form

ASL 10-Week Class at a Glance:


Virtual Courses: $50 per person

In-Person Courses: $75 per person

50% off in-person courses for Henry Ford associates

Classes are once a week every week for 10 weeks


  • Beginner Level for Families of DDBHH (Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing Children): This class is available to all family members, including aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. It focuses on foundational American Sign Language.
  • Beginner Level: This class focuses on general, foundational American Sign Language.
  • Intermediate Level: Participants in this class should know the alphabet (A-Z) and have basic fingerspelling skills in ASL. They should be able to express simple sentences in ASL.


1) Beginner Level for Families of DDBHH on Sundays from 7-8 pm via Zoom

(March 30 - June 1)


2) Beginner Level on Mondays from 6-7:30 pm at Henry Ford St. John Hospital

(March 31 - June 2)


3) Beginner Level on Tuesdays from 6-7:30pm at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital

(April 1 - June 3)


4) Intermediate Level on Wednesdays from 7-8 pm via Zoom

(April 2 - June 4)
